Anyone Who Ever Hid
Your mask ends here.
Cancer Warriors
You were told to "stay positive." You deserved more than that.
1 in 2 Canadianswill receive a cancer diagnosis in their lifetime (Canadian Cancer Society)
Cancer patients carry a weight far beyond the physical. They are expected to be brave and positive while fighting the hardest battle of their lives.
UNMASKED's Warrior Edition was created for every person in treatment, every survivor, and everyone who loves someone in the battle. Our water bottle has a straw lid designed for mouth sores during chemo. Every detail was thought about with you in mind.
"Still Here." is not a slogan. It is a declaration of survival.
Neurodivergent Community
You spent years pretending to be "normal." You were never broken.
1 in 36 childrenare diagnosed autistic in North America (CDC 2023)
"Masking" — hiding your natural behaviours to appear neurotypical — is exhausting and invisible. Autistic individuals, ADHDers, and dyslexics perform normalcy for a world that wasn't built for them.
UNMASKED says: stop performing. Your brain is not a flaw. The Neurodivergent Pride Edition is coming soon.
Disability & Chronic Illness
Your pain is real. Your strength is extraordinary.
6.2 million Canadianslive with a disability (Statistics Canada 2022)
Chronic illness is often invisible. People with fibromyalgia, lupus, sickle cell, and mobility challenges are constantly made to prove their pain. UNMASKED creates products that say: I see you.
Caribbean & Haitian Diaspora
Mwen se Ayisyen. And I refuse to hide it.
165,000+ Haitianslive in Quebec alone (Statistics Canada)
Immigrants carry the weight of two worlds. They change accents at interviews, translate their names, perform a version of themselves easier for the world to accept.
The Diaspora Pride Edition — coming soon in Kreyòl, French, Spanish, and English — celebrates the culture and resilience of people who built a life in a country that wasn't always ready for them.
XL & Plus Size
Every body deserves to wear their story.
67% of womenin North America wear a size 14 or above (Plunkett Research)
Fashion has spent decades telling plus-size people that identity products aren't for them — that bold statements belong to smaller bodies.
UNMASKED was never for "some" bodies. Every tee is unisex oversized. Every tote bag is for every arm. Every water bottle goes everywhere every body goes.
The XL category celebrates bodies that have been told to hide, to shrink, to take up less space. UNMASKED says the opposite: take up all the space you want.
For Anyone Who Ever Hid
You don't need a diagnosis to know what it feels like to wear a mask.
Maybe you hid your sexuality, your mental health, your struggles, your grief. The version of yourself that felt too much, too loud, too different.
Your identity is not a burden. It is your power. Wear it.
Your size was never the problem. The world's imagination was.
UNMASKED carries every size from XS to 4XL. Our unisex oversized tees are cut for every body — not just bodies that fit the norm. Every product in the XL collection carries the same powerful messages as the rest of our line.
Because bold statements don't belong to small bodies. They belong to every body that has ever been told to take up less space.

The founder
From Port-au-Prince to Montreal — unmasking along the way.
Sarha Marlie Dejean is a Black Haitian immigrant who spent years hiding under masks she never chose — hiding her accent, her culture, her size, her faith, her full self — in rooms that weren't built for someone like her.
"I spent years speaking languages that weren't mine, pretending to be smaller than I was, hiding the parts of me that felt too Haitian, too Black, too much. UNMASKED is everything I wish I had then."
Today she works nights as a healthcare aide, studies business, and builds UNMASKED. Proof that the mask was never hers to wear.
Our belief
We believe identity is not a burden.
We believe you have the right to take up space.
We believe your diagnosis does not define your limit.
We believe your accent is not something to hide.
We believe your scars tell a story worth hearing.
We believe your culture is a crown, not a costume.
We believe your size is not a limitation.
We believe it is time to stop hiding.
This is UNMASKED.

The founder
Sarha Marlie Dejean
From Haiti to Montreal — a story of masks, battles, and the choice to stop hiding.
🌴
Haiti — The beginning
Sarha Marlie Dejean was born in Haiti — a country that gave her everything: her language, her culture, her faith, her fire. A Black woman with a big heart and an even bigger story ahead of her.
✈️
Dominican Republic — First mask
The first country that wasn't hers. Spanish — a language that wasn't hers. She learned to navigate it. But she learned to hide herself too. Her Haitian identity, her accent, her way of being — all quietly tucked away to be accepted.
🗽
United States — Second language, second mask
English now. Another language that wasn't hers, another room where she had to prove she belonged. The immigration system. The paperwork. The uncertainty. She carried it all with grace. She kept going.
She arrived in Montreal and started over. Again. Works nights as a healthcare aide — caring for disabled patients with the same tenderness she wished the world had shown her. Studies business online. Builds UNMASKED. Does all three at once. Without complaining.
🎭
The mask — and the decision to remove it
Somewhere between Port-au-Prince and Montreal, Sarha realised she had been wearing masks she never chose. Softening her accent. Hiding her Haitian pride. Making herself smaller in rooms that weren't ready for a full-sized Black immigrant woman who loves God and takes up space unapologetically. UNMASKED is her answer to all of it.
🌿
Today — UNMASKED
UNMASKED is not just a brand. It is proof that you do not need the perfect circumstances, the perfect papers, the perfect body, or the perfect accent to build something meaningful. You need the truth of your own story — and the courage to wear it out loud.
What she believes
The faith behind the brand.
"I am a Christian. My faith is the foundation of everything I do — including UNMASKED. Every product I make carries a message of resilience, identity, and dignity because I believe every human being was made in the image of God. Every body. Every size. Every background. Every story."
— Sarha Marlie Dejean, Founder of UNMASKED
Our purpose
Mission & Vision
Our Mission
UNMASKED exists to create statement products that give underrepresented communities a visible, wearable way to claim their identity with pride. We serve cancer warriors, neurodivergent individuals, disabled people, plus-size individuals, and the Caribbean diaspora.
We believe identity is not a burden. It is power. And that power deserves to be seen — in every size, every language, every body.
Our Vision
A world where nobody feels forced to hide who they are. Where the autistic teenager doesn't spend years pretending. Where the immigrant doesn't translate themselves smaller. Where the plus-size woman walks into a room and sees a brand that made something for her.
UNMASKED is building toward that world — one product, one message, one community at a time.
Why Trust Us
🏥
We work with the communities we serve
Our founder works nightly with disabled patients. We understand the disability community from the inside.
🌺
We live the immigrant experience
Founded by a Haitian immigrant who navigated 3 countries, 3 languages, and a system that tested everything she had.

Kreyòl, French, English, Spanish. Our products meet you where you are.

For anyone going through a difficult moment. You are not alone. These words are here for you.
✝️ UNMASKED was founded by Sarha Marlie Dejean, a Christian woman whose faith is the foundation of this brand. This page is for anyone — of any faith or no faith — who needs words of strength today.
— Psaume 46 : 1-3, 7
🙏 A prayer for the warrior
Lord, today I bring before You every person reading these words who is carrying something heavy. The one fighting cancer in a hospital room. The one whose body is tired but whose spirit refuses to give up. The immigrant who has rebuilt their life from nothing — again. The person who has spent years hiding who they truly are.
Give them strength that does not come from their own reserves — because those are empty. Give them Your strength. The kind that moves mountains. The kind that says: this is not the end of your story.
Remind them that they are seen. That they are known. That their identity — every part of it, the parts the world rejected and the parts they were told to hide — is not a mistake. It is not too much. It is exactly who You made them to be.
Let them unmask today. Not for the world. But for themselves. Amen.
💚 A prayer for the cancer warrior
Lord, for everyone carrying a diagnosis — whether newly given or long carried — I pray for peace that surpasses understanding. For rest on the days when the body is too tired to fight. For joy in the small moments: a cup of tea, a phone call, a morning they didn't expect to see.
Let them know that "Still Here" is not just words on a bottle. It is a declaration of Your faithfulness. You are still here with them. Every appointment. Every treatment. Every hard day. Amen.
🌺 Yon priyè pou imigran yo — A prayer for the immigrant
Bondye, mwen rele ou pou chak moun ki kite peyi yo, ki rekòmanse lavi yo nan yon kote ki pa te fèt pou yo. Ba yo kouraj. Ba yo pasyans. Raple yo ke identite yo — lang yo, kilti yo, istwa yo — se yon richès, pa yon fado.
Lord, bless the immigrant who is exhausted from starting over. Who has translated themselves into languages that weren't theirs. Who has made rooms comfortable for others while never quite feeling comfortable themselves. Let them find — in this brand, in this prayer, in this moment — one space where they do not have to perform. Amen.
With love
"You were not made to wear a mask. You were made to shine."
— Sarha Marlie Dejean, Founder of UNMASKED
